Spent the weekend with Dad and Nik aboard Calstar. Friday night in Cardiff, Cardiff to Watchet Saturday, back to Cardiff and home Sunday.
Quite fancied sailing to Minehead, but tides were such that I'd have been picking my way into a strange harbour after dark. Not high on my list of ways to enjoy my weekend.
Instead took the train from Watchet to Minehead on Saturday afternoon, and wandered around to the harbour for a look. Will definitely be back with the boat when the tides (or length of daylight) are a little more favourable.
Hoping to make good use of our twin keels and new home base this year and do a lot more exploring of little tidal harbours along the North Devon and Somerset coasts.
