With the clocks having sprung forward, last Wednesday was supposed to be the start of the Wednesday evening Hotdogs Series at South Cerney SC. It was cold, and the wind was in the mid-20's but gusting up to 40 knots.
So I got there early, got the boat out and swapped the rig over for the Radial sail. But nobody else turned up to play with me. Except for my mate Burt, who sails an (exceptionally lovely) OK, but he's as daft as I am, or possibly dafter. We briefly entertained the idea of a two boat race, but it seemed a bit inconsiderate to put the race committee to the trouble just for the two of us.
So I put the boat away again, and we retired to the bar, which had opened early, with the race officers and safety boat crew.
